about

This song is basically composed of two main parts - Tribute and The Puzzle (which is quite obvious if you have read the song title).
The first part, Tribute, is a tribute to Pink Floyd. It sounds nothing like them and some may even consider it a disgrace to one of the greatest bands in the history of rock music, but that's what it was supposed to be. What I'm (Alex; first part is done completely by me) actually doing is experimenting with multiple guitar layers - again, but in a different form than I did before.
The Puzzle - two days before putting the song together, Mihai had sent me that nice keyboard riff, asking me to continue it on guitar. After listening to it, I thought it would sound nicer with a discotheque-like drum beat. I'm not quite sure how we've made the guitar part - probably by jamming: I think I played a bend and thought "Hmmmm, that was cool, let's... reverse it" ('cuz that's what true Frusciante fans do :D).
Then, there comes a break, some silly drums, some silly dude shouting "Oh clean it up, Johnny" and some silly lyrics. And that's mostly it, Tribute/The Puzzle. Silly song, huh?.

Also, we've recorded this song on a friends' birthday, so it's also a gift to him (la multi ani Steff, btw).

lyrics

We're all just characters in the play of destiny,
We're all just players of an unknown game.
We all complete a puzzle to change our own lives,
But, in the end, our lives do not matter:
In the end, life is only lies.
